LAS VEGAS, NV- 8 Jan 2015: Today at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show, the International Research Institute for Wellness and Prevention (IRIWP.COM) announced it would partner with Indiegogo, the first and largest global crowdfunding platform, to conduct “The CampusFitKit™ Challenge 2015” a unique competition designed to engage college students in the use of social networking, mobile connectivity, sensors, wellness databases, lifestyle resources and instructional information to better track, manage, and improve health.

With the CampusFitKit™ digital health platform a student can use their smart phone to map current lifestyle information against a database of preferred healthy lifestyles. On a real-time basis the application monitors lifestyle activity and adjusts individual lifestyle protocols to help college students reach personal goals. Student interactions are monitored and data compiled according
to reported involvement with the protocols over time. Deviation from the individualized healthy protocols automatically triggers communication to modify or adjust the program.

IRIWP is encouraging students to register online at campusfitkit.com for a chance to participate. Once registration is approved, contestants will create a campus campaign on the crowdfunding site Indiegogo. The company is looking for innovative ideas for using the CampusFitKit™ to foster healthy campus lifestyles. Based on the patented IRIWP Wellness Navigation System™ the
CampusFitKit™ allows student to implement lifestyle programs in nine critical success areas: food, drink, movement, mind, wearables, environmental quality, rest, self-care, and social collaboration.

The top 10 finalists will be selected by the IRIWP awards committee on September 1, 2015. The finalists will then compete in “The CampusFitKit™ Challenge 2015” -a 90 day challenge to become the healthiest college, department, fraternity and sorority, or alumni group. The competition will be measured by group improvements, their engagement with the program and healthy outcomes achieved. In addition, the finalists selected will automatically qualify for the next year’s “THE CAMPUSFITKIT™ CHALLENGE 2016”.

“College can be one of the strongest influences on establishing healthy lifestyles and behavior patterns. Students face multiple risks to their health, and the habits they establish can follow them throughout their lives” says Aimon Kopera MD, who co-founded IRIWP and serves as Chief Health Scientist.

“College students are exposed to a variety of new social experiences and potential lifestyle changes” added Dr. Paul Evans, CEO of IRIWP “at the same time, a healthy college experience can establish positive lifestyles for an entire generation and their families” he said.
